 HEAD 2 HEAD
Over the past nine seasons, Kerala Blasters have faced NorthEast United 18 times. With 8 victories, the Blasters have a better record. Only four of NorthEast United’s games have been victories, and six of them have been draws.

 TEAM CURRENT FORM

At the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium, Kerala Blasters opened their 2023–24 Indian Super League campaign against Bengaluru. By generating more chances and controlling possession, the Blues played competent football. However, the Tuskers were able to get off to a winning start thanks to an own goal by Keziah Veendorp and a goal by Adrian Luna in the second half.

The Red Miners were unable to score in the following game between the Yellow Army and Jamshedpur, and Luna once again emerged as Kerala Blasters’ lone goal scorer.

After that, the Blasters traveled to the Mumbai Football Arena to take on Des Buckingham’s Mumbai City. To tie the score, Danish Farooq Bhat scored in the 57th minute after Jorge Pereyra Daz had opened the scoring against the Tuskers.

However, Apuia’s goal for the Islanders in the second half upped the intensity of the game, which also led to a verbal brawl and heated exchange. Two red cards were then shown, and the game ended 2-1.

On the other side, Mumbai City of Des Buckingham’s team faced NorthEast United to open their season. Jorge Pereyra Diaz scored twice as the Islanders easily prevailed 2-1 despite Parthib Sundar Gogoi’s lone attempt.

 TEAM NEWS

Milos Drincic of Kerala Blasters will not participate in the game because the AIFF has suspended him for three games for violating disciplinary rules. Marko Leskovic would have jumped right into the starting lineup when he returned from the next international break, but injury concerns may prevent him from playing in this match as well.

Along with the foreign central defenders, Aibanbha Dohling is presently sidelined with an ankle injury and won’t be returning to action soon.

NorthEast United, in contrast to Kerala Blasters, will participate in Indian Super League matchday four at full strength. Fortunately, neither an injury nor a suspension have been reported for Benali’s team.
